Check Valves
Check valves are mechanical valves that opens when the flow is forward and closes with reverse flow. They are classified as one-way directional valves. Fluid flow in the desired direction opens the valve, while backflow forces the valve to close. There are various types of check valves used in a wide variety of applications, most common types of Check valves are swing, lift (piston and ball), butterfly, stop and tilting-disk.
