Regulators

The industrial pressure regulator is a pressure control device that is simple in design, has a straightforward control philosophy, but due to a lack of ‘curb appeal’ is often overlooked as a safe and effective control solution by many end users. Furthermore, when installed, the industrial pressure regulator can be so effective at its ‘job’ that it is often forgotten during major plant maintenance events. Many times, installed regulators are not discovered until well after their expected maintenance intervals when they do not work and ultimately result in production delays and lost profits for the end user.

WPC represents Emerson's Regulator Technologies who manufactures more pressure regulator and relief valve solutions than any other manufacturer in the world and is used for applications such as process gas, liquids, steam, tank blanketing, and more.

Actuation and Controls

WPC represents Bettis Technology, a brand that has always included cutting-edge engineering, technology and automation innovation with the wide range of actuation and controls for the most demanding valve automation applications. Actuators provide a force that is responsible for moving or controlling a valve to open or close. This force is operated by a source of energy, typically electric current, hydraulic fluid pressure, or pneumatic pressure, and converts that energy into motion.

Automation of industrial valves, through actuation and controls can be found in all kinds of process plants. They are used in waste water treatment plants, power plants, refineries, mining and metals and pipelines industries.

Isolation Valves

“At WPC our core believe is that Severe Service Isolation Valves and shutdown valves are not commodity devices but highly engineered solutions, utilized in safety and production critical applications”™

An Isolation Valve is used in fluid management to stop the flow of process fluids in a pipeline, this is usually for maintenance or safety purposes. They can also be automated to provide flow path selection to change the flow path in a continuous or batch process. A valve is classified as an isolation valve because of its intended function in a process pipe loop, not because of the design of the valve itself. Many different types of valves can be classified as isolation valves but in engineering and selecting the correct valve, consideration should be given to important criteria such as pressure and temperature ratings, shut-off (classification and direction), process conditions, flow capacity (Cv), pipe connections, manual or automated, required service life, industry standards, system performance, and total cost of ownership.

Control Valves

"At WPC we firmly believe that Control valves are not valves, but high precision instruments that contribute to the safety and operational success of our clients process plants" ™

Control valves are components used in process control loops to regulate process variables such as flow, liquid levels, pressure, temperature etc. The most common Control valve in the process control industries is the control valve. Control valves are the most important, but sometimes the most neglected, part of a control loop. The reason is usually that sizing, selection and maintenance of control valves comprises a multi engineering approach, disciplines such as instrumentation, metallurgy, noise control, fluid dynamics, piping and vessel design have to be taken into consideration. This makes the control valve the most important, but sometimes the least understood, part of an automatic process control loop.
